The pininfarina-designed car was originally produced from 1984 to 1991, with two model revisions following the ending of testarossa production and the introduction of the 512 tr and f512 m which were produced from 1992 to 1996. Almost 10,000 testarossas, 512 trs, and f512 ms were produced, making it one of the most-produced ferrari models, despite its high price and exotic design. In 1995, the f512 m retailed for $220,000.[4] testarossa means "redhead" in italian and is so named because the engine "heads" are painted red. This particular car is a 1988 ferrari testarossa manufactured in 12/87. It has 14,400 original miles and was bought new in hollywood california. The original books and window sticker are included. It has some very nice options which make driving this exotic extra special, this includes the carbon ceramic brakes which cost an extra $15,364 from the factory. The brake pads were just replaced and will be good for many more miles to comes. The ferrari also has the carbon fiber for the driving zone which was priced at $4,190, a leather headliner and leather rear bench wall for an extra $2,449, as well as the daytona style seats for and extra $2,579. It has some aftermarket parts to give the car a better experience which include a 3m clear bra on the front bumper, 1/2 hood, and mirrors and well as an upgraded stereo system. This car has been properly maintained its entire life, it received a new clutch at 30,000 miles when it had its 30,000 mile service performed. It also just received a new battery and new brake rotors. Mechanically the car is in top notch condition. There are a few minor cosmetic issues which are show in the pictures which include some chipping behind the front wheels and rear brake ducts, a scrape on the lower passenger side front bumper, a small mark on the outer tail pipe of the driver side exhaust, and 3 small surface marks on the passenger side clear bra, they do not go through the clear bra into the paint however. At some point the front bumper had been resprayed on the car and the rear bumper was replaced. Overall, the car is in very good condition and shows of a ferrari that was driven and enjoyed while also being very well cared for.
