The 2.5 liter straight six has twin Stromberg carburetors and makes 101 horsepower and plenty of torque. The TR6 was the haloed affordable British sports car and the last of the traditional English roadsters with the big 6 cylinder engine. (Yes, we know:the Brits drink their Guinness warm, yet this car has air conditioning!) Probably originally destined for a Yank, but please don't hold that against this TR Air Conditioning
Rust free with full recent services including clutch & brake masters, clutch slave, new clutch pressure plate & release bearing ( less than 100 miles ago), new fuel pump, filters, lines, hi torque stater, all new cooling hoses & coolant, spin on oil filter, new air filters and elements, valves adjusted with silicon V. All trim removed, sanded to bare metal, body work & panel fit, excellent new base / clear full paint job. The car was purchased from its 40 year owner prior to its refurbishment & restoration
Between just those two modifications it makes for a very pleasurable drive. The brake calipers have been upgraded to Toyota units with slotted rotors. The look of original carburetors with the efficiency of fuel injection. Ignition system is petronix electronic with a GM coil.. Carburetors have gutted internals and GM fuel injectors installed. The Transmission is a Toyota 5 speed conversion
